On May 7, 2005 the High Desert Eagles (HDE), a chapter of the Oregon Veterans Motorcycle Association (OVMA), will hold its 3rd Annual Mother’s Day Poker Run and Auction.  Each year the High Desert Eagles dedicate the Poker Run to someone close to the chapter or someone in need.  This year the Run is in memory of Larry Petmecky, a founding member of the chapter and Vietnam veteran.   

Proceeds from the Poker Run and Auction will be donated to Caring For Troops in memory of SSGT Kevin Davis, a solider attached to “G” Troop who was killed by a roadside bomb while serving in Iraq.  A donation will also be made to the High Desert Eagles veterans’ fund.     

The event starts at 930 AM at the Black Horse Saloon where registration will take place for the Poker Run.  The Poker Run starts at 1100 AM and will finish at 4:00 PM.   The Auction will start 630 PM and will be held at the Black Horse. 

You do not have to ride a motorcycle to participate to in this event.  If you would like to make a donation, go down go to the Black Horse at 930 AM for the Poker Run and “draw a hand” and then come back at 630 PM for the Auction.

The Oregon Veterans Motorcycle Association is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote good fellowship and harmony among Oregon veterans, Oregon motorcyclists and the Oregon community as a whole.  The High Desert Eagles provides assistance to local veterans and residents of the community in need.
